Data System (KEDS)
KEDS was designed to gather statewide data from the Kentucky Early Intervention System (KEIS), State-Funded Preschool, and private child care programs while allowing teachers and providers to focus on implementing high-quality assessments that provide feedback to improve instruction and support positive outcomes for young children.
What We Do
We help the state track the developmental progress of young children enrolled in their programs.
We help teachers use appropriate assessments to monitor children's learning and skill development.
We help state administrators complete the federal reporting requirements for IDEA on child outcomes.
How We Do It
Providers and teachers observe children and complete assessments using approved tools.
Assessment and demographic data are collected through the KEDS Online Portal and publisher systems.
Analyses are conducted and results shared through reports with state, regional and district administrators.
